Paulo has been involved in coaching since the age of 18. His coaching career began under Roger Bush
(OSA Men’s Coach of the Year in 2001 & ORU Women’s Head Coach) at West Side Alliance
Soccer Club, where he previously played and captained the '94 boys team, leading them to two state
semi-finals, one state final, and 2 Regional Championship appearances, and a national ranking
during 2011-2012 season. During the 4 years in which he played at WSA, Paulo received several college
scholarships, but turned them down to stay close to home.
He is entering his second year with the Tulsa Athletics in the NPSL, were he continues to grow as soccer

All kids can learn and succeed if they are presented with unique situations that blend challenges with
achievable outcomes in the classroom, on the playing field, or in every day situations. Success as a teacher, coach, or mentor is measured in the amount of investment
you derive from your kids. Success is ongoing. It is not found in the U14 championship match, it is found
in the moments when the lesson meets life, and the future of the player is considered, so that 20 years
down the road, a difference has been made.
